Welcome to Cherri-Pop!
This site is in English!
Please feel free to look around, but this is a new site, so beware of broken links and the like.
"Translations" are translated Japanese manga and doujin.
"Doujin" are English doujin by the circle "Cherri-Pop", which, incidentally, only includes me at the moment.
Other than any scans with the translations, all the images on the site are mine, so don't steal.
News:
July 18, 2007
Hello netizens. The big news this year is that I am returning to the North Branch of the St. Petersburg Library to teach 5 classes over two days. If you are a member of the Library down there, please join me again.
The schedule:
AUGUST 4
- 10AM - 11AM Learn to draw your favorite anime character!
(Ages 6-10) - 3:30 PM - 5PM Learn to draw in the anime/manga style (mostly faces)
(Ages 12 and above)
AUGUST 11
- 10AM - 11PM Learn to draw your favorite anime character!
(Ages 6-10) - 2PM - 3PM Learn Japanese. (Ages 12 and above)
- 3:30PM -5PM Coloring inked drawings. (Ages 12 and above)
You can download the flyer as a PDF.
How does this work?
Classes are limited to 15 people, and you have to sign up with the Library. If you don't sign up, you might not be able to attend, especially in the coloring class.
If you're attending the 10AM class, you should write your favorite character by your name on the signup sheet. The Library will count them up, and the two characters with that appear most frequently on the list will be what we draw. If there are no favorites, I'll pick someone from the list. If no one writes down a character, I'll have to choose something, and it'll probably be ooooooooooold.
In the coloring class, we'll use colored pencils to color our drawings. You can bring your own piece, but I'll have a drawing or two for you to color. I'm planning on making two drawings, one of each gender.
I'm in the middle (or beginning) of making new handouts for everyone and revamping the things we cover, so, hopefully, people who've done this before will have something new to learn.
Man, I've got so much new stuff to share... it's heart-rending the amount of work I'm going to end up going through just to do it. Of course, if I updated more than once a year, it'd be a lot easier. I'm just going to reiterate that any new fan art will be posted to DeviantArt.
And you can e-mail me at lokineko.cherripop @ gmail.com . I don't actually bite.
